Chicken Crescent Roll Ups

Creamy on the inside and golden brown on the oustide, these chicken crescent roll ups are the perfect quick dinner idea! Filled with homemade ranch seasoned chicken, these roll ups require minimal ingredients with maximum flavor!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tube crescent rolls
  • 2 cups pre-cooked, shredded chicken
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp dried dill
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Topping:

  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • fresh parsley chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees, and grease a 9" by 13" casserole dish.
  • Add the cream cheese, sour cream, parmesan cheese, and spices to a medium bowl, and stir well to combine.
  • Stir in the chicken. Taste for salt; add some if desired (see note).
  • Unroll the crescents, and add a scoop of the chicken mixture to the fat end of each crescent roll.
  • Roll up the crescent roll and tuck the sides in.
  • Repeat with all crescents, then add to the casserole dish.
  • Melt the butter and chop the parsley. Brush the tops of the crescents with butter.
  • Bake for 14-16 minutes, then remove from the oven and sprinkle with parsley. Serve warm!

Notes

  • Cook the chicken according to your preferred method. You can use rotissierie chicken, or chicken breasts cooked in the crockpot, instant pot, etc. If you really need dinner ready quick, you can even use canned chicken.
  • I found the parmesan cheese gave the filling enough saltiness, but you can add some salt to the filling if you like more.
  • Fun additions: green onions, bacon, or mozzarella cheese
  • Serve plain or with ranch!
  • Feel free to change up the seasoning combos; other ideas include buffalo chicken crescent roll ups, BBQ roll ups, alfredo roll ups, and Italian roll ups.
